An attempt by Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot to form a Communist peasant farming society resulted in the deaths of 25 percent of the country's population from starvation, overwork and executions.
In 1975, Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge army, consisting of teenage peasant guerrillas, marched into Phnom Penh and on April 17 effectively seized control of Cambodia.
Once in power, Pol Pot began a radical experiment to create an agrarian utopia inspired in part by Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution which he had witnessed first-hand during a visit to Communist China.

Stalin almost certainly killed more people than Hitler did. But Hitler killed people faster.

His camps were built to facilitate the genocide and murder of populations.
His regime was likely the most depraved one of all history.
As an example, when Germany invaded Russia, there were special units who killed all Communist functionaries, Jews holding party and state functions, and other radical elements.
It is estimated over 1.25 million Jews were killed as well as hundreds of thousands of other Soviet citizen.
Joseph Stalin - 20,000,000
Killing an estimated (and debated) total of 6 million people in Gulags, he already is a horrid monster in human form.
Executions add up another 800 k to 1.5 million deaths under his rule, and forced starvation in the Ukraine (known as the Holodomor) are responsible for 5–6 million more deaths.
Add his other policies, a couple purges, and everything that happened in other Eastern European countries and you get between 20–25 million, give or take a few depending on your source.
While Stalin was bad, it took him 30 years to kill 20 million people. Hitler killed nearly as much in 7 years. So, while Stalin was a psychotic killer, Hitler was far more brutal.

The Great Leap Famine caused far the largest famine in history. It was also man-made—and not because of war or disease, but by government policies that were flawed and recognized as such at the time by reasonable people in the Chinese government.
The Chinese journalist Yang Jisheng estimates that 35 million died. Hong Kong University’s Frank Dikötter has a higher but equally plausible estimate of 45 million.
It breaks down this way: Mao was responsible for about 1.5 million deaths during the Cultural Revolution, another million for the other campaigns, and between 35 million and 45 million for the Great Leap Famine. Taking a middle number for the famine, 40 million, that’s about 42.5 million deaths.
That is really a lot of deaths not due to war or disease, but due to a Communist form of government.

And please, do not tell me it's a woman's right to kill her unborn baby because it is a part of her body! That baby is her son or daughter, NOT PART OF HER BODY. That baby is a NEW LIFE created by the miracle of procreation.
A mother's womb is designed to carry her son or daughter to full term, and it is not a strange part of her body that suddenly, for no reason, grows an unviable tissue mass.
Mothers: You are killing your son and daughter, not a lifeless tissue mass! Calling your son or daughter an unviable tissue is EVIL and demeaning to all human life.
Even Genghis Khan Gave People A Choice
At least he had a reasoned explanation for his mass killings. Bow to him or die. And the people he killed did have that choice.
What choice do unborn babies have? None.
They cannot defend themselves, nor do they have a choice on whether to live or die.
They rely solely on the compassion of their host, the mother.
The fact that mothers choose to kill their babies so callously is abhorrent to the point that it has created worldwide crises of morality and has perpetuated the deaths of over 1.5 billion innocent lives.
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their grave sins. I shudder to think what God's wrath will be on the people of Earth for the killing of 1.5 million innocents.
