An Internet Presence - The Only Way To Go!
Website marketing can be done several ways. But ALL the
long-term successful online businesses and ALL have one
thing in common: They have created a web presence. Not
matter what your Internet marketing strategy is, without a
good, content laden website, long term success will not be
achieved.
ALL success stems from a web presence, achieved through a
successful web page promotion campaign. There is no other
ways, no shortcuts, no secret formula, no undiscovered
technique, no 14 year old computer guru with a here to fore
never heard of marketing plan. It just does not exist.
What is a web presence. Simply stated: A website that
contains relevant content and has achieved a high listing on
Major Search engines (or Indexes) such as Google, Yahoo,
aol, msn, and altavista.
Achieve high listings in any 3 of the above, any you are
GUARANTEED targeted traffic.
I have received over 90% of ALL my business clients,
affiliates and customers from websites. Each website is
targeted to a specific audience. The other 10% come from my
Adland Classified Ad Network and Opt In Lists.
I have websites that target gamblers, travelers, auto
body shops, corporations and sports fans. I pick a specific
topic of each, create a website on that topic and then write
an entry page for that topic, and submit it to search
engines.
I do not know if bulk emailing works. I have known a
couple of people who do bulk emailing, and they say they do
maker money with it, but I can not tell you just how
successful they are. However, their conversion rate is VERY
LOW, they keep loosing their ISP and email accounts and they
are constantly getting flamed and threatened with
lawsuits.
I do not bulk email, do not believe in it, and therefore
will not recommend a service.
My advise to anyone is simple. Learn to create a content
filled, properly written website.
Targeted websites have these benefits over any other form
of marketing on the Internet. These benefits are:
- The conversion rate is very high. A good website can
get up to 10 conversions per 100 visitors.
- Automation: At most of my websites, I never meet the
clients I signup. I just receive the commissions.
- On programs that require personnel contact, once the
site is written and listed in the major search engines,
the prospects come to me. That mean no cold calls, no
hang ups.
- I never get flamed
- I never loose my ISP
- If I want to take a break, my websites keep working
for me. I can put auto responders to handle all
information requests until I get back to work.
- The Moral of the Story: Become a Webmaster - Get
yourself a good html author (there are a lot of WYSIWYG
* editors out there) Get one, start building a web
presence, learn how to promote it and you will be one
your way.
With Successful website, you can do this:
- Generate a constant flow of targeted traffic 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
- You can sell you product or service instantly
online.
- Create data base of visitors to your site. Then put
them on a weekly or monthly newsletter and with the idea
of having them buy your product or service.
- Create return traffic and buyers by offer a free
service.
- Use e-zine advertising. While there are a lot of
e-zine newsletters out there, they do cost to advertise
in them and it may pay off if you offer a good product or
service. You can also be a contributing writer to these
E-zines.
- Have your own classified ad page. It does generate
return traffic. The one I use is Adland
Pro. I have been affiliated with them for over 5
years now and continue using their services because I get
results.
Other Reasons for Having a Website?
A professional looking website with your own domain name
gives you legitimacy. If I want to know who is behind a
product or service, I do a WHOIS
search and see whose is registered as the owner of that
domain. If it is a real person I can contact, I will contact
them. If they is no way there is not a phone number of a
physical address, then alarm bells go up. That means there
is a pretty good chance the owner does not want to be known
or found.
Other Ways To Market
Classified Sites - Not the best option, but here is
ONE that actualy works
- MOST free classifieds sites are a total waste of
time. There are very few FREE Classified ads websites
that are worth posting to. Most FREE classified ad
websites are simply email harvesting fields. I stopped
posting to other classified ad sites a several years ago
after I joined the Ad
Land Pro ad network. I have been a member of that
network for over 5 years now and have gotten hundreds of
hits on my ads. My ads are viewed thousands of times a
month and a click through ratio is between .97 and
1.76.
My AdlandPro pages morphs a page that host on my website.

A Suggestion
- Don't try to use classified ads as your main
promotional tool. I use them only to supplement what I
promote. I do get some very good leads from them, but
they WILL NOT supply enough traffic to make any campaign
a success.
-
- Safelists Are A Pain...However, If you have a
unique service or product, they may be
beneficial.
-
- I would recommend using one of the services that use
opt-in safelist bulk submitters. They are cheap. And
sometimes you actually will get responses. Try
Blast
For Traffic or E2sucess.

PC Owners
For the BEST url submission
software for a PC, I highly recommend
SubmitWolfPro. Why. Before I found the VSE
submission software for my Mac, I was forced to use
submission software for my PC. I tried AddWeb's
Website Promoter, WebPositionGold and a few others
and found all lacking in what I wanted. It wasn't
until after I had purchased VSE for my Mac that I
tried SubmitWolfPro and found that it met
all my requirements for url submissions.
I now use both and cannot decide
which I like better, and that is saying a lot for
an old Mac addict like me.

Self
Promote Your Website
|
If you do not
have submission software, I highly recommend
SelfPromote as your URL submission service of
choice.
All but one of my number one placements have been
done through SelfPromote. Virtually NONE were
placed through free services.
There are many reasons to use SellPromote. Among
them it is very cheap ($10.00 per year to submit up
to 10 websites as many times as you want), very
thorough and the record of your promotion is saved
so you can post it rather
quickly.
